Residents Turn Out To Celebrate Town Day
Food, music, demonstrations, and fun at the 35th Stoneham Town Day.
If you want proof that Stoneham residents are active, athletic, and ready to play, then look no further than Saturday's 35th annual Town Day.
Walking through the Common you saw Stoneham Little League, Stoneham Youth Hockey, Stoneham High varsity cheerleaders, LA Fitness, Stoneham High field hockey, a booth with t-shirts, etc., in support of Stoneham High athletics, and dance, dance and more dance groups. Clearly, Stoneham likes to keep it moving. Oh, and if moving causes pain, there was a free postural/spinal analysis.
Residents turned out in force on a cloudy but rain-free day. And if you don't believe that, you clearly didn't try and find a parking space anywhere near the Town Common. Once there, music filled the air along with the smell of everything from french fries to Harrows Pies. There were booths for Fuller House, the Stoneham Senior Center, the Stoneham Coalition For A Safe and Healthy Community, and Stoneham Rotary, a small sample of the more than 130 exhibits organized by the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce.

And if you're not a people person, you still had options with a llama, pig, donkey, goat ... and of course, a horse. The Chamber made sure there was something for everyone.
