UPDATED: Seibold, Bilbo Win Seats On Stoneham Select Board
Just 13.4 percent of voters turn out; Meredith-Warren wins re-election to School Committee.

Following story has updated vote totals from Town Clerk Maria Sagarino
Heidi Bilbo and incumbent George Seibold won election to the Stoneham Select Board Tuesday. Just 2,181 voters out of 16,291 went to the polls or roughly 13.4 percent.
Bilbo received 1,164 votes, just 13 more than Seibold. Seibold won four of the seven precincts. Joe Bromander was third with 900 votes followed by Bob Verner with 542.

In the race for School Committee, Rachel Meredith-Warren won re-election with 1,232 votes to second-place finisher Zenaide Diemer's 764. Meredith-Warren won all seven Stoneham precincts.
Michelle Meagher won re-election to the Housing Authority with 1,078 votes to challenger Gerard Cunningham's 674.

Eric Josephson won a seat on the Board of Assessors with 1,113 votes to Mike Rotondi's 697 votes.
Question 1 on the ballot went to the Yes supporters with 1,602 votes to the 420 No voters. The result authorizes the Select Board to grant on premises licenses with a lesser seating capacity of 35. A no vote would have continued the current practice of only granting licenses to premises with a minimum seating capacity of 50.
