Selectmen will hear on January 7th.Should a license be granted for Beer and Wine while you purchase a tank of gas.

Just a reminder - On Tuesday, January 7th the BOS will reconsider the decision to grant a beer and wine license to the Mobil gas station located on Route 28 by the Zoo. A second beer and wine license was denied to the Mobil gas station located on Montvale Avenue (across from the Stoneham Arena) on the same night. After an outpouring of citizen's dissatisfaction with the granting of a license to one gas station, the license was re-considered. A letter from the Selectmen was sent to the ABCC where it was requested that the license be returned. The final step in reversing this decision is a reconsideration hearing which will take place on Tuesday night. The meeting will take place at Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.
