Stoneham Hockey Ready For No. 3 Seed Danvers
After beating Tewksbury, Spartans ready for a bigger challenge.

A season spent competing against the best of the Middlesex League may just be a recipe for post-season success for the Stoneham High School boys' hockey team.
No. 11 seed Stoneham beat No. 6 seed Tewksbury, 5-2, Tuesday night in the first round of the Division 2 North tournament. Jake Burridge was the hero, scoring two goals including the game-winner in the third period. The Spartans scored four goals in the final period.
Next up for the Spartans (11-8-2) is a Friday matchup with No. 3 seed Danvers (15-3-2) in the quarterfinals. The game will be held Friday at O'Brien Rink in Woburn.

Stoneham has given up just seven goals in its last four games and defense will be important against a high-scoring Falcons team that hasn't lost since Jan. 25.
