While nearing their fundraising goal of $3,800; the fund, as of mid-October, was still short hundreds of dollars. , after seeing a plea in the local paper for donations, contacted the 1982 Beautification Fund and committed a donation in the amount necessary for the fund to reach its goal.

Chris Oneschuk, President, Stoneham High School 1982 Beautification Fund said, "Stoneham Savings Bank genuinely takes the time to get involved in the Stoneham community, and they don't hesitate to contribute to worthy causes whenever they can. They understand the pulse of the community and can see clearly where they can make a difference. We are now able to move forward with the purchase and installation of the new Stoneham High School sign! The sign will be constructed of a composite material that will not deteriorate and will be accented with granite posts. The new sign should be in place before winter arrives!"
