  • Steve Keskinidis, 16
  • Accomplishment: Keskinidis has been controlling the tempo at center midfield the entire season for the Spartans. The Spartans stand at 3-2-6 with seven games to play.

Key to Awesomeness: Keskinidis has one of the biggest responsibilities on the field playing at the center midfield position. He has one assist on the year, but his presence in the middle of the field is his biggest strength.

“My biggest strength on the field is I think my speed and the ability to beat players to the ball and take it from them,” Keskinidis said.

While the Spartans have 12 points on the year, the team would like to be earning victories instead of draws this late in the season. Keskinidis described how to change the outcome.

“We need to continue sending balls to the corner and get a good finish on the ball,” Keskinidis said. “We need to put the ball in the back of the net.”

Keskinidis also stressed how the team must talk amongst one another on the field and stick to their game plan.

“We need to work as a team and communicate at all times,” Keskinidis said. “Do not get too fancy and take shots on net whenever we get the chance.”

With seven games to go for the Spartans their work is cut out for them, but Keskinidis reiterated what the team must do.

“We need to keep our heads up and think positive about everything,” Keskinidis said. “Stick together and play our hardest out on the field. The wins will comes.”
