Stone Zoo Offers Free Admission To Vets Friday and Saturday

Then Sunday, it's time for the Howling Wolf Half Marathon

To honor the service of all veterans, Stone Zoo will offer free admission to veterans on Friday and Saturday. This is an opportunity to spend a memorable day with family and friends while learning about fascinating wildlife from all over the world and exploring all that the zoo offers.

Stone Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the last admission at 3:30 p.m.

The fun, and maybe a little sweat, continues Sunday with the zoo's Howling Wolf Half Marathon. The race is held on a safe, yet physically challenging course on the rolling roads around the Middlesex Fells Reservation in Stoneham. The entry fee includes admission to the zoo and a wild post-race party for those 21-and-up, featuring craft beers from Laqunitas and Mighty Squirrel. The Howling Wolf Half Marathon is a collaboration between Zoo New England and RACE Cancer Foundation. The race starts at 8 a.m. with the post-race party at 9:30.
