Stoneham Coalition to Recognize Trusted Adults in the Community
The Stoneham Coalition announces its Trusted Adult Appreciation Campaign in an effort to celebrate adults who support youth in Stoneham

The Stoneham Coalition is pleased to announce its Trusted Adult Appreciation Campaign this spring. In an effort to celebrate adults who support Stoneham youth through their availability and openness, the Stoneham Coalition will present Trusted Adult recognition to community adults who make a difference in children's lives.
“The goal of this campaign is to show how many trusted adults we have in Stoneham and their importance to youth. Having connections to caring adults is a protective factor for youth in preventing substance use and other risky behaviors. We think it's important these adults be recognized for all they do in our community, and we want to let Stoneham youth know these caring adults are out there. A trusted adult can be any grownup whose actions and words make a young person feel cared for and supported, in ways big and small. These include a teacher, a mentor, a family member, a coach—anyone in a child’s life.” said Rebecca Lewis, Director of Substance Use Prevention for the Town of Stoneham.
Trusted Adults can be nominated by completing a form at the link below or emailing RLEWIS@stoneham-ma.gov. Any adult (18+) living or working in Stoneham can be nominated. Any youth (up to age 18) can nominate an adult(s). A parent or caregiver can also nominate an adult on behalf of a K-4 youth. Youth can nominate MULTIPLE trusted adults.
