Stoneham Democratic Town Committee Endorses Lewis
Committee: Senator Lewis is a proven leader who gets results for the Fifth Middlesex District.

STONEHAM -- On June 11, the Stoneham Democratic Town Committee voted to endorse State Senator Jason Lewis for re-election. The Stoneham DTC supports and organizes Democratic campaigns and activists in the community and participates in civic life throughout the town.
“I’m so grateful for grassroots support from my friends and rs in Stoneham,” said Senator Jason Lewis. “The Stoneham Democratic Town Committee advocates for justice, opportunity and equity, and I’ve been proud to stand with them over the years to advance the priorities and values of our community.”

Senator Lewis is a proven leader who gets results for the Fifth Middlesex District. He has secured millions of dollars in local aid, including funding for local schools, parks, flood mitigation, transportation improvements, and thriving downtowns; led efforts to ensure quality, affordable healthcare for all by controlling rising costs, improving mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment, and defending women’s reproductive health rights; championed access to quality public schools for all students by reforming the state’s education funding formula to ensure adequate and equitable funding, and expanding early childhood
education; and fought for working families by raising wages, improving benefits like paid family and medical leave, closing the gender pay gap and strengthening workforce development.
“For the last 10 years, the Stoneham Democratic Town Committee has endorsed Senator Jason Lewis as a strong progressive leader in the State Legislature, and we have always known that he can get results for Stoneham,” said Charlie Houghton, Chair of the Stoneham Democratic Town Committee. “Senator Lewis fights for us: he fights for local aid and education funding in the state budget, for affordable and accessible health care, and for civil rights and economic opportunities for every one of his constituents.”
