Stoneham Fire Displaces 4
A Wednesday night fire on Park Street caused $30,000-$40,000 worth of damage, Fire Chief Matt Grafton estimated.

STONEHAM, MA — Four in Stoneham are displaced after a house fire late Wednesday night on Park Street, Fire Chief Matt Grafton said Thursday afternoon. No one was injured in the blaze.
The fire department responded to a one-alarm fire at 178 Park Street just before 9:30 p.m. Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the third floor of a single-family wood frame home, cutting a hole in the roof to allow for ventilation and prevent the fire spreading.
The third floor sustained heavy damage and the rest of the house had smoke and water damage. The house suffered between $30,000 to $40,000, Grafton estimated.
