Stoneham Fire Log: Firefighters Respond to Hundreds of Calls Over Halloween Weekend [VIDEO]
During and after the holiday weekend snowstorm, Stoneham Fire Department fielded plenty of calls for downed wires. See what other calls firefighters handled from Oct. 24-30.
The responded to 191 calls for service, up a staggering 131 from the previous week, from Oct. 24-30. Last week's call volume was the highest of any week this year.
Wires down (110 calls) easily topped the list of calls fielded by the department largely due to the Halloween weekend snowstorm that hit the area, followed by aid requests (30) and fire investigations with 24. Several fire departments assisted Stoneham firefighters at a on Oct. 26.
Oct. 30 was the busiest day of the week for firefighters, as they responded to nearly 100 calls for service.
