Stoneham Girls Earn No. 3 Seed In Division 3 Tourney

The Stoneham girls' soccer team earned the No. 3 seed in the MIAA Division 3 North sectional. The MIAA released the pairings Wednesday. Despite a 6-11-1 record the Stoneham boys also made the tournament as the No. 19 and last seed in Division 4 North and will travel to Hamilton-Wenham Friday.

The Spartan girls (14-1-3) will host Brighton (5-5-3) Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Wakefield High School. Stoneham would then face the winner of the game between two more city teams, Latin Academy and O'Bryant, in the quarterfinals.
