Stoneham Police Arrest Man For Trafficking Heroin
Police found 104.5 grams of heroin, 42 Xanax pills, 125 Tramadol pills and other drugs at home.
STONEHAM, MA – A Stoneham man was arrested for trafficking heroin, police said.
Andrew J. Comita, 34, of Stoneham is charged with trafficking in heroin, distributing a Class A drug, possession to distribute a Class B drug, possession to distribute a Class C drug and possession of a Class B drug, Chief James McIntyre said.
On Friday, May 26, at approximately 1 p.m., police were surveilling Comita's residence when they witnessed Comita exit his home and make a hand-to-hand transaction with someone in a car parked on his street.

Authorities then executed a search warrant at Comita's residence. As a result, police say they found 104.5 grams of heroin, 42 Xanax pills, 125 Tramadol pills, 41 Suboxone pills, 552 Methadone pills, three Clonazepam pills and $925 in cash.
Stoneham Police partnered with the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Forceto investigate the illegal sale and distribution of heroin by Comita.

Comita was released on $5,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Woburn District Court.
"We will continue to investigate and arrest those who choose to bring illegal and dangerous drugs into our community," McIntyre said. "I want to commend Stoneham Police Detectives and our counterparts at the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force for their hard work and diligence during this investigation."
