Oct. 5
@12:45 a.m.: Police respond to Murdock Road following a report of an explosion. One vehicle was on fire and it spread to a second car and a residence. It is unclear what started the blaze and the incident is under investigation.

@1:52 a.m.: Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with personal injury on Elm Street. Jennifer Simon, 26, of 24 Carney St., Medford, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
@9:56 a.m.: Police called to William Street on a report of a wire down. NSTAR notified of the problem.

@3:03 p.m.: Police called to a motor vehicle crash north of Exit 34 of I-93. No injuries reported and response canceled.
@4:35 p.m.: Police respond to Mountain View Road on a report of an over fire. Box alarm recalled at 4:52 p.m.
@9:56 p.m.: Police called to a five-car motor vehicle accident on I-93 southbound near Montvale Avenue to assist State Police. State Police had no cruisers available and were on a delayed response. State Police expected to handle investigation.
Oct. 6
@10:07 a.m.: Police called to Main Street on a report that a woman's car was keyed sometime between 8:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 5. Police to investigate the incident.
@1:13 p.m.: Police respond to Main Street on a report of a side window of a vehicle being broken. Officers retrieve a rock from the vehicle and bring it back to the police station. Police to investigate incident.
@9:45 p.m.: Police respond to Green Street on a report of a neighbor's dog barking all day and night. The animal control officer was notified of the problem. Police checked the area and found no dog barking.
