STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham Police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly robbed the Salem Five Bank on Main Street Tuesday afternoon. Police responded to the bank at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, and discovered that the man allegedly demanded money from the teller. He later made off towards Marie Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say he was in the bank for just one minute. The suspect is described as being approximately six feet tall with a thin build and deep voice. Police say he was last seen wearing a black ski mask and dark sunglasses, a green hooded coat zipped all the way up, blue jeans, black gloves and black sneakers. The incident is under investigation by Stoneham police and the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force.
