Stoneham Resident Graduates From Weston School

Marissa DelFavero graduates from The Rivers School in Weston.

Stoneham resident Marissa DelFavero was among the 83 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday.

Marissa was involved in many activities during her seven years at Rivers. She was co-president of her junior class, captain of the dance team and a yearbook editor. She was also a strong varsity softball player, stepping up to become captain and earn All-League honors her senior year.

Marissa was one of four seniors who served on the Alumni Council this year, acting as a liaison between current students and the alumni body. She was an excellent French student, and volunteered as a French teaching assistant during her senior year.

Marissa also took part in service trips to Romania, where she volunteered in an orphanage, and New Orleans, where she worked with fellow students to rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

She recently received the school’s prestigious Dudley Willis Trustee Prize.

The daughter of Eugene and Nina DelFavero, Marissa will attend Bucknell University in the fall.
