Stoneham Resident Named Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations
Mary Sullivan Smith, RN, MS, Promoted at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston
Mary Sullivan Smith, RN, MS, has been named Senior Vice President, Hospital Operations in addition to continuing her role as Chief Nursing Officer at New England Baptist Hospital, a Boston-based premier regional provider for orthopedic surgery and the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and disorders. Sullivan Smith will lead day-to-day hospital operations and continue to lead the NEBH journey to national recognition as an ANCC designated Magnet institution as well as inpatient satisfaction and engagement. Sullivan Smith joined NEBH in 2009 as Director of Patient Care Services and has led the Hospital in major initiatives including performance improvement. She has held a number of positions at hospitals, including Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children as Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. She is a graduate of Lesley University, University of Massachusetts, Boston, and the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing.
