Stoneham Resident Scoring Against Cancer on April 4

Dana-Farber Rink Rats playing charity hockey game to benefit the Jimmy Fund

Ryan Leib, a Stoneham resident, will be among the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute doctors, researchers, and staff who will play a charity hockey game against the Boston Bruins Alumni to benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber. The Dana-Farber Rink Rats’ game will be held at 1 p.m., April 4 at Veterans Memorial Rink in Somerville, Mass.

Ryan is the director of Ambulatory Practice Analytics at Dana-Farber. Prior to joining the Dana-Farber Rink Rats, he hadn’t laced up his skates since 1997, and says it has been a great way to get back into the game.

“I am fortunate to see the impact that fundraising makes to the care and research at Dana-Farber, every day,” Ryan says. “It is a huge honor to be able to support our fundraising efforts through this event. I am also a big hockey fan, so the fit was perfect!”
