Stoneham Rotary Club Assists Local Food Pantry

At a recent meeting, the Rotary Club of Stoneham announced the continuation of a volunteer program which is in need of additional volunteers. For the past few years, Stoneham Rotarians have been driving to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank in Lowell, which distributes grocery items to local food pantries, including the Stoneham Food Pantry located at the First Congregational Church.
“We have been doing this service monthly,” notes Club President Adam Rodgers. “As our membership has been challenged like all organizations due to Covid, our available volunteers are in need of some additional helpers. We want to share the opportunity for this service to those who may not be Rotary members but who want to be of service to the Community. We hope that Stoneham residents who have about two hours once a month to volunteer might consider this opportunity.”

Rotary Club of Stoneham works to provide scholarships for local students, funds to help with polio vaccinations to children in third-world countries and assistance to local organizations that help senior citizens, veterans, children and families in need. Members are your neighbors, local business owners/employees, and organization representatives who want to work together to enhance life in Stoneham for everyone.
