Stoneham Water Cleared, No Need To Boil
The boil water order from Friday has been lifted.

STONEHAM, MA — Go back to using the tap, Stoneham. The Town on Saturday morning lifted its order to boil water, saying the Department of Environmental Protection's tests found no contaminants in the local water supply.
"The Town intends to review the cause of the incident and determine if there are ways to prevent it in the future," Town Administrator Thomas Younger said.
"We will be staying on top of this issue and take appropriate steps to try and avoid situations like this in the future," Fire Chief Matthew Grafton said. "We will be working closely with the DEP and Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to monitor the cause of the issue."

The boil water order was issued Friday afternoon after some samples from Whipple Ave. tested positive for E. coli. It was a precautionary measure, officials said.
