Stoneham's Top Young Talent Showcased At Winter Festival
Performances start Friday at Greater Boston Stage Company.
Ten Stoneham students will be taking the stage at Greater Boston Stage Company during The Young
Company Winter Festival 2018 starting Friday.
The Winter Festival, performed by actors in grades 1-12, is the culmination of eight weeks of rehearsals by the students and their professional directors, music directors, choreographers, stage managers, and design team. The Young Company Winter Festival includes 4 fully-staged productions: Phantom Tollbooth Jr., Seussical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Bat Boy: The Musical.
The family-friendly musical Phantom Tollbooth Jr. follows Milo on an unforgettable mission to save Rhyme and Reason in the Kingdom of Wisdom. Stoneham actors are Jillian McAuley (Narrator/Word Seller) and Kayla Rigano (Narrator/Word Seller).

In the fantastical Seussical, all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters come to life, including The Cat in the Hat. Stoneham actors are Carly Carlson (Ensemble), Joseph Dooley (Whickersham), Keira Haughey (The
Mayor) and John Pagliarulo (Horton the Elephant).
In the Disney Classic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Quasimodo escapes his bell tower and experiences freedom and adventure. Stoneham actors are Amelia Borto (Lead Player/Section Leader/Frederic), Carlie LaFauci (Clopin Sister) and Max Lehmann (Pierre the Gargoyle).

Lastly, in the dark comedy Bat Boy: The Musical, Edgar, a half boy/half bat creature, joins a local family and learns to embrace his human half. Bat Boy: The Musical includes Stoneham resident Katie Kelley
(Pan/Ruthie/Ned).

Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. Phantom Tollbooth Jr. is recommended for all ages.
Seussical — Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m.; and
Sunday, Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. Seussical is recommended for all ages.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame — Saturday, Jan. 27 at 4 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 28 at 4 p.m.; Thursday,
Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 3 at 4 p.m. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is recommended
for ages 11 and up.
Bat Boy: The Musical — Friday, Jan. 26th at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Bat Boy: The Musical is recommended for ages 14 and up.
