Tess Hurley Passes Away

She worked for the Assessor's Office for the Town of Stoneham for several years.

Theresa P. (Harris) "Tess" Hurley of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, June 21st, at her home. She was 98 years of age.

Tess was born on December 14, 1919 in Randolph. She is the loving daughter of the late Earl C. Harris and Mabelle I. (Walsh) Harris. Tess is a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Tess was a member of the Stoneham Senior Center. She worked for the Assessor's Office for the Town of Stoneham for several years. Tess loved her family. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports and spending time with everyone. Family was first and foremost in her life.

Tess is the beloved wife of the late Thomas M. Hurley. She is the devoted mother of Patricia A. Martin and her husband Robert, Arlene Nickerson and her husband John and Tess is the step mother of Nanci Kasischke. The grandmother of Thomas H. Martin and his wife Shannon, Patrick F. Martin, Sean M. Martin, Colleen T. Martin and Mark Nickerson, Tess is the step grandmother of Lauren Kasischke and the late Paul Kasischke. Tess is the doting great grandmother of Hailey, Kelsey, Natalie, Keira, Lyla and Thomas. She is the dear sister of the late Dorothy A. Chase and the late Arlene Gardner. Tess is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Thursday, June 28th from 3-7 pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham. Parking attendants and elevator are available.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Tess's Eternal Life will be held on Friday, June 29th at 10 am in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
