For A Third Time, Stoneham Leaders Dump Wakefield

Stoneham and Wakefield share a Boys & Girls Club. The communities also share a healthy rivarly and recently that meant a spirited game of dodge ball. For the third time in four years the Stoneham Leaders beat the Wakefield Leaders.

While the Stoneham Leaders, led by Select Board members George Seibold and Shelly MacNeill, enjoyed showing off their three trophies, the real winner was the Boys & Girls Club, with the annual event raising approximately $60,000 for the club.

Wakefield's Leaders were good sports about the defeat, but at last Monday's Town Council meeting they promised a different result next year, with practice starting Tuesday.
