Tickle the Funny Bone: Comedy Night Coming to Melrose's Corinthian Hall
Laugh it up for a good cause in the midst of Edwardian splendor.
If we're to believe all those studies you hear on the news, the simple act of laughing cuts stress. Assuming that's true of just a single laugh, we have a suggestion for you that may take care of all of March and April's stress put together.
This week's Great Escape comes courtesy of Melrose's and the Friends of Melrose High School Lacrosse. On March 19, the Franklin Street banquet facility will open for its first Comedy Night (predicted to be the first of many to come). For $20 a ticket, you can yuk it up with comedians Sal Votano, Johnny Pizzi, Christine Hurley and Paul Gilligan, all while getting a good look at the recently restored Edwardian grandeur of Corinthian Hall.
So grab some friends, dress up a bit and indulge in stress-busting belly laughs, as well as a cash bar and appetizers―and help out local lacrosse players at the same time. For tickets to either the 7:30 or 9:30 p.m. show, call Beth Schaefer at 781-799-6645, Cindy Kutchaunis at 781-572-6940 or Kelley Carroll at 617-750-4897.
