MELROSE, MA- Fire crews from several area towns are currently responding to a two-alarm fire on Farwell Ave. The fire is apparently a structural fire, set in the attic, and extended to lower floors. It appears most of the fire is out but they are still fighting hot spots. The Melrose Fire Chief was unavailable for comment at the time of this posting. Further details to follow.
UPDATE (6:50PM): Most crews have left the scene. Only a few Melrose units remain to complete and clean the scene. The fire is out.
