STONEHAM, MA — A red fox was one Stoneham resident's first visitor of 2020. Video as seen on the Neighbors app shows a fox wandering through a Stoneham neighborhood.

According to the National Wildlife Federation, red foxes have "adapted well" to suburban and rural communities. They live in parks and woodland edges and eat whatever is available, especially rodents and rabbits.

Red foxes are solitary, making it easy for them to hide and escape people, the National Wildlife Federation said.
