VIDEO: Local Man Joins Stoneham Police Force

After 21 weeks of training at the Police Academy in Plymouth, John Curtis was sworn in as a  officer Friday morning in the Hearing Room.

Curtis, 30, of Stoneham, was highly touted by and congratulated by Selectman Tom Boussy during the ceremony.

Maria Sagarino conducted the swearing in, and after he was officially sworn in Curtis thanked the packed hearing room for their support.
