First Miss Holmes, Then Mystery Writers Sunday In Stoneham

Greater Boston Stage Company will host mystery writers following 2 p.m. performance of Miss Holmes.

If you haven't had the chance to see Miss Holmes, then Sunday's performance may be just what you've been waiting for.

The Greater Boston Stage Company will provide the answer to a mystery after this Sunday's performance of Miss Holmes, a classic, timeless Sherlock Holmes mystery with one twist: Sherlock and Watson are women who have to negotiate the tricky political and social realities of 1880s England. Have you ever wondered how a writer’s brain works? How about the mystery that is a mystery writer’s brain?

After the 2 p.m. production of Miss Holmes on Sunday, four local mystery writers will join some of the cast to discuss how writers and actors approach character development, storytelling, and more. The mystery writers are Julie Hennrikus, Edith Maxwell, Leigh Perry, and Barbara Ross.
