What "Micah Herndon's" Completion Of "The Boston Marathon" Means

Juarez, Ballard & Hamer .... these are the names Micah Herndon a Boston Marathon runner was voicing out while crawling a half a mile on his knees to the finish line. I wasn't sure who or why he was calling out these names as he crawled; but later I found out. He was a Marine recently back from war, a veteran at the finish line told me; whom I met shortly after the Marathon was over.

The veteran obviously spoke to Micah and said "it was Micah's way to show respect to his platoon soldiers who lost their lives protecting this countries values. He also said it showed respect to the fallen hero's families, in honor to thank them for giving this country great men and women that have sacrificed for our hopes and aspirations. We are only privileged to have this in our country everyday, because of the blood they shed for us in the battle field. The veteran said he is ashamed of the citizens of this country who feel our/their countries flag (USA Flag) is a symbol of past aggression or cruelty and that they now ask this country for reparations. "It's time the Left Grew Up" he said; reparations have already been made in the Civil War. Myself being on the Left, I let him have his free speech without interrupting him; he said "all men being what have you; White, Latin, Native,Men of Color all split blood for this country; and now the Left want rights to kill innocent pain-feeling babies. What about their Rights! Furthermore , he said The Left dare to take religious freedom away from teachers & so on."

This veteran believed Micah didn't just crawl for all that was mentioned above. "Micah finished the race with no strength to stand, in which, he had to succumb to crawling to make a statement to the Left. And that was he isn't going down without a fight; evil will not triumph over morality towards the unborn and our freedom of religion.

I have to say this really shook me up; and I write this in hopes that other Left Wingers heed my reasons why I'm leaving the Democratic Party. Here is my reasoning; If our men & women fight for America's future "then isn't our future mostly with the unborn American's." And if our men & women fight for their God and Country; isn't that what our teachers and children should have the right to express in school.

In Conclusion, if it weren't for our Soldiers fighting for what they believe; we might as well hand over this country to people who would take it back to the Dark Ages. But as one veteran to the next would say "we couldn't give the Left that privilege; Not a chance!"
