We had another wonderful Whip Hill Holiday Open House this weekend! Hundreds of families stopped by for hot chocolate, cookies, crafts and Santa on Dec. 9 and 10. Thank you to the Stoneham Garden Club and Arts and Crafts Society for decorating the Manor, the Stoneham Police and Department of Public Works for keeping visitors safe, the generous donations from Montvale Plaza and Kushala Sip and to the Girl Scouts, Stoneham Fire Explorers and our many wonderful volunteers for giving their time to support this terrific annual tradition. Whip Hill Park is owned by the Town of Stoneham and operated by the Stoneham Conservation Commission This passive recreation area offers 30 acres of remarkable natural resource for the enjoyment of all Stoneham residents. The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is delighted to announce that its Spring Arts Festival will offer exciting new opportunities for artistic sharing and expression. In addition to a Judged Arts Show and Sale of all original art in the Lynnfield Meeting House, this festival will feature dozens of crafters and artisan vendors on the Commons and hands-on activities for all ages. As always, visitors will have the chance to interact with many local organizations. 
The full roster of festivities on Saturday May 9th from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Meeting House, 617 Main Street, and on the Commons will include a performance by Side Project, offering a mix of musical genres from 1 – 3 PM. Talented art students from Lynnfield High School will offer face painting. 
The food available will include LAG’s famous bake sale, which sells out every year. As always, LAG will hold a fabulous raffle of original art, goods and local business gift certificates. This year’s judges are Andy Levine, Laurie Schmidt and Robert Frascella and their choices for ribbon winners for both adult and LHS student art will be posted. Come support the arts while enjoying this festive community event!
