Car Slides into Ames Pond in Stoughton

STOUGHTON, MA — A person suffered no injuries after their car slid off the road and into Ames Pond during Tuesday's storm.

At 12:10 p.m., the vehicle veered off of West Street and into the pond. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle uninjured. He was taken to the hospital and later received a ride to Easton, according to the Enterprise.

Firefighters had to smash the back window to connect a line to the vehicle to pull it out of the pond, according to video taken at the scene.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
