Commuter Rail Cancellations Angers Stoughton Riders

Stoughton commuters are losing patience with the MBTA Commuter Rail.

The scene at the Stoughton Commuter Rail station has become too familiar for commuters. Once again it was a morning of passengers crowding the platform for Commuter Rail trains that were very late or never came.

Several angry commuters told WCVB that they were led to believe that the trains would be running today, but the snow covered tracks told a different story.

A spokesman said that only one scheduled train ran Tuesday morning, adding that the equipment was not ready.

After four snowstorms in three weeks, the MBTA has been scrambling to restore full service to the transit system. In Stoughton, delays and cancellations have been occurring since last week. MBTA GM Beverly Scott said on Monday it would take at least 30 days with no more major snowstorms to get the T up and running again at 100 percent while Governor Charlie Baker said that represented the timeline for a worse case scenario.
