Frustration Mounts in Stoughton With Commuter Rail

The first day back for the Commuter Rail hardly went smoothly.

The Commuter Rail may be up and running again but it’s certainly not at 100 percent.

As commuters tried to access the train from Stoughton to Boston on Wednesday morning, frustration mounted as delays and mechanical issues built up during the morning commute.

One woman told WCVB that passengers on the 6:57 a.m. train were told to leave the train after the heat and power was cut off due to a mechanical issue. This was after the 6:26 a.m. train was canceled.

90 minutes after passengers first boarded the train, they were offered a transfer to another train.

More delays will be expected on Thursday morning. The 6:28 a.m. train from Stoughton is already canceled.
