Commuter Rail Train Hits Pickup Truck In West Bridgewater
Three people were injured when a commuter rail train hit a pickup truck at the East Street crossing in West Bridgewater.

WEST BRIDGEWATER, MA — A commuter rail train hit a pickup truck Saturday morning and injured three people inside the truck, MBTA police said. The collision happened around 7:40 a.m. on East Street in West Bridgewater, along the Middleborough/Lakeville line.
According to transit police, the pickup truck drove around the gate at the railroad crossing and was hit trying to cross the tracks. One of the trucks three passengers found them self trapped in the car until Bridgewater firefighters could free them.
The three passengers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with non life-threatening injuries.

The crash remain under investigation with East Street and East Center Street closed. The Middleborough/Lakeville commuter rail line is also experiencing delays.
