12:09 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Washington Street, a 32-year-old from Waterbury, Connecticut received a summons for operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a motor vehicle without a license in possession,

4:57 p.m. - Following a car crash on Bay Road, Brandon Layton, 19, of New Bedford,, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation.

7:00 p.m. - An intoxicated person was reported at Sam’s Getty on Canton Street. The person was taken into protective custody.

May 28

5:56 a.m. - A caller on Elm Street reported a person breaking car windows. Jose Lopez, 37, was arrested and charged with malicious damage to a motor vehicle and illegal possession of a Class B substance.

7:41 p.m. - A caller reported an assault on Turnpike Street. An 18-year old from Brockton was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery. A 19-year-old from Brockton received a summons for domestic assault and battery.
