Fourth OUI Charge, Shoplifting: Stoughton Police Log

Plus a Stoughton man asks police to arrest him on a warrant so he get a ride to court.

January 28

12:53 a.m. - Antonio Perry, 53, of Dorchester, was arrested on Washington Street and charged with his fourth OUI, operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger, marked lanes violation, and possession of an open container of alcohol.

12:56 a.m. - Cory Brooks, 54, of Stoughton, was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and on an active warrant.

5:40 p.m. - Roman Cardoso, 25, of Brockton, was arrested at TJ Maxx on Park Street and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise (second offense) and on an active warrant.

January 29

12:22 a.m. - A male walked into the police station regarding a court issue. After the man, identified as Matthew Smedile, 40, of Stoughton, was told to discuss the matter with the courts, he told police that he had an active warrant and wanted to be arrested so he had a ride to court. He was taken into custody.

January 30

10:49 a.m. - Marquez Mednia, 23, of Stoughton, was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop on Walnut Street.

4:41 p.m. - A 23-year-old female from Cambridge received a summons at Kohl’s on Technology Center Drive for shoplifting over $100 by concealing merchandise.

January 31

5:27 p.m. - A car accident was reported near Wendy’s on Washington Street.
