Foxborough Teacher Salaries Above State Average

The Boston Business Journal released its annual list based on the average teacher salary in each community.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - Public school teachers in Foxborough on average were paid above the Massachusetts average in 2015.

Earlier this month, the Boston Business Journal released a full list of average annual salaries of public educators in each community, based on data from the Department of Early and Secondary Education.

According to the study, the average salary of the 209.3 public school teachers in Foxborough last year was $80,964, close to $1,700 more than the statewide average of $74,737.

317 school districts reported data to the state. Benefits such as summers off and pensions, negotiated between individual school districts and unions, were not included in the data.

Average wages were determined by dividing each district's total salaries and stipends by the number of full-time teachers employed in 2015.
