"Lemon-Aid for Kids" at Stoughton’s Panera Bread Benefits Children’s Hospital Boston

This past Saturday, July 16, Stoughton’s was one of a number of Panera locations in Massachusetts to take part in the company’s “,” a campaign to “aid Children’s Hospital Boston in its mission to provide the highest quality health care to children and families from New England and across the globe.”

The Park St. Panera, located on the Stoughton/Brockton line, set up a lemonade stand, where customers were asked to donate $1 or more to Children’s Hospital Boston, Panera Bread's Operation Dough-Nation® partner, in exchange for a cup of lemonade.

D’Ante Adams and Kiara Adams, the young children of Kimberly Allmond, the manager of the Stoughton Panera, helped to run the lemonade stand, along with their mom. D’Ante and Kiara said they enjoyed pouring and selling the lemonade.

“We love it,” Allmond said of Panera’s partnership with Children’s Hospital and being able to give back to the community. She said she was impressed with all of the people “donating more than the actual amount” of money to purchase a cup of lemonade.

Volunteers Laurie Ring and Kelly Quinn joined Allmond and her son and daughter.

The collective goal of “Lemon-Aid for Kids” was “to raise $10,000 across participating Greater Boston bakery-cafes through the one-day fundraising event.”

“Panera Bread’s warm, welcoming, and fun environment is a perfect place to keep children’s spirits up and a smile on their faces,” said Carola Cadley, vice president of Corporate Development and Marketing at Children’s Hospital Trust. 

“We’re honored to be working with them and appreciate every effort and dollar raised to help with our research and treatment.”
