Stoughton Man Stabbed In Brockton

Police say a Stoughton man was stabbed behind the Brockton Mini Mart.

BROCKTON, MA — A man who suffered an apparent stab wound on his arm was taken to the hospital after he was found wondering around the downtown area Sunday night.

At about 7 p.m., the victim was stabbed in the area of Pleasant Street and North Warren Avenue, but the person would not tell police what happened. Police told the Enterprise that a large crowd that was following him has remained quiet.

The victim has been identified as a 38-year-old Stoughton man.

Police responded to the scene after receiving calls reporting a man bleeding on North Warren Avenue. A second caller said the man was stabbed behind the Brockton Mini Mart on Pleasant Street. A trail of blood was found going to the back of the store, and another went towards North Warrant Avenue.

While no witnesses will tell police what happened, officers are reviewing surveillance camera footage.
