Stoughton Man Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize

STOUGHTON, MA - A Stoughton man is the latest person to take home a big prize from the state lottery.

Jason Marcy of Stoughton won the $1 million prize while playing the Massachusetts Lottery's 40th Anniversary Millions instant game.

Marcy chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before tax withholdings), according to the Lottery. Marcy said he plans on using some of his winnings to buy a new truck, with a portion being set aside for his kids' college tuition.

His winning ticket was purchased at Holbrook Food Mart, 855 S. Franklin St. in Holbrook. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
