Stoughton Police Log: Notorious Theft, Larceny, and More

February 23

1:16 a.m. - Richard Wigfall, 27, homeless, was arrested near Planet Fitness on Washington Street and charged with furnishing a false name upon arrest and failure to appear upon recognizance. Wigfall also had two warrants.

5:27 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported at Kohl’s on Technology Center Drive. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Lisa Marie Varano of West Bridgewater, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250.

February 24

11:08 a.m. - Melissa McElaney, 33, of Stoughton, was arrested on Seaver Street on a warrant.

2:15 p.m. - During a traffic stop near Walgreens on Washington Street, Samantha Darosa, 21, of Taunton, was arrested and charged with failure to stop for police while operating a motor vehicle.

4:30 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported at Target. The suspect, identified as 54-year-old Anthony Thame from Revere, was arrested and charged with two counts larceny over $250, shoplifting over $100 by asportation, and common and notorious theft.
