Victim in Stoughton House Party Stabbing Identified

Fabrice Emile has been identified as the person who was stabbed during a party at a house owned by the chancellor of UMass Boston.

STOUGHTON, MA — The identity of the man stabbed during a party at the Stoughton home of UMass Boston Chancellor Keith Motley is now known.

At 2:48 a.m. early Sunday morning, police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing inside Motley's home on Palisades Circle. The victim, a 20-year-old identified as Fabrice Emile, was transported to a hospital in Boston. Monday afternoon, Motley said Emile is doing well.

In a statement released Sunday, Motley said he wasn't home at the time of the party.

The incident is under police investigation and anyone who had attended this house party or has any information is asked to call the Stoughton Police Detective Unit at 781-344-2575.
