WANTED: Suspects Told Elderly Woman Her Grandson Needed Gift Cards to Get Out of Jail

STOUGHTON, MA — An elderly woman was taken advantage of by a person claiming to be her grandson, police said.
On Feb. 23, an 85-year-old woman was contacted by someone who claimed to be her grandson. The person told the woman that he had been arrested and needed $2,000 in Target gift cards to be released. The victim obtained the cards from the Stoughton Target and provided the card numbers over the phone to the caller, according to Mass Most Wanted.
The two individuals pictured then utilized the gift card funds almost immediately at a Target in Milford, Mass.
