2nd Accident in 2 Days Involving Deer on Nobscot Road Reported

A motorist on Nobscot Road reported to the Sudbury Police Department he struck a deer Wednesday evening.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, the driver of the Honda Pilot did not suffering any injuries and his car did not need a tow.

The deer survived the collision and ran into the woods.

The accident occurred at about 5:43 p.m.

The accident was the second such collision on Nobscot Road in two days.

On New Year's night, a motorist reported witnessing another collision with a deer at about the same time of day.

That deer died on the side of the road.

In other police news from Jan. 2:

• Officers were dispatched to Tavern Circle after receiving a 911 call regarding a one-car accident. The car's airbag was deployed but there were no injuries. The car was towed from the scene.
• A Saxony Drive resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call from a collection agency. The agency asked the resident for her social security number. The resident was worried the agency may have been fishing for personal information for illegal use.
• A Prides Crossing Road resident reported receiving online threats. The case is under investigation.
• A two-car accident was reported on Morse Road. There were no injuries, but one car was towed.
• A Pondview Road resident reported seeing a suspicious person in the neighborhood driving a white school bus. The driver was lost and was knocking on doors asking for directions. The driver ultimately found his destination.
