SUDBURY, MA — Live snakes from around the world are coming to Sudbury during an upcoming presentation at a local farm.
The Sudbury Valley Trustees is hosting "Snakes of New England and the World" at Wolbach Farm. The Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team will lead the one-hour program, introducing attendees to different snake species and explaining their characteristics.
The event will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 22.
Participants will be able to observe the animals up close and may have opportunities to hold several of the snakes, according to the SVT, which protects and manages more than 6,389 acres of wildlife habitat in the region.
The Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team is a nonprofit volunteer organization focused on vernal pond conservation and education.
