Battle of the Red Horse Tavern Trots in to the Wayside Inn

As the Wayside Inn explains, “In the 18th century, taverns were key spots of influence, as the coming and going of people would bring news, warnings, and strategy.”

So each year, the Redcoats and Minutemen return to the grounds of the Red Horse Tavern (now named the Wayside Inn) to “battle for control of the key spot of the Boston Post Road.”

It’s a day of battle at this conflicted location. It’s action-packed and it intensifies, and takes place on Saturday, Nov. 1.
