Playing in Paris: A Parisian Salon, ca. 1760

Andrus Madsen will perform music from mid-18th-century Paris on a copy of a 1769 Taskin harpsichord built by Robert Hicks. With its rich, generous sound, this instrument is ideally suited to the sonorous music of mid-century Paris, including works by Couperin, Duphly, and Forqueray.
