Ed Mascari Jazz Trio coming to Goodnow Library

The Friends of the Goodnow Library invite you to warm up your Sunday afternoon with some hot jazz!

The Friends of the Goodnow Library “Sunday Afternoons at the Goodnow” cultural series returns at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015, featuring a jazz concert by the Ed Mascari Jazz Trio. Well-known jazz pianist Ed Mascari leads this energetic and cohesive ensemble that features Rebecca Wellons (saxophone and flute) along with Marliese Ballon (upright bass). This tight-knit trio will perform a variety of upbeat arrangements of familiar standards, jazz tunes and inspiring originals all guaranteed to keep a smile on your face and your feet tapping.

Ed Mascari and Rebecca Wellons are Hudson residents who have been performing together for more than a year. A few months ago, their duo became a trio when upright bassist Marliese Ballon joined these two collaborators to add her solid bass lines to enhance enrich and enlarge the ensemble sound.

Playing such songs as The Way You Look Tonight, Wave, Someday My Prince Will Come and Take Five plus a few inspiring originals, these three radiate a sense of fun performing for multiple generations. For more information about the Ed Mascari Jazz Trio, visit http://edmascari.com/pianoperformance/
