Books in Bloom Book Group

Do you love to read and also like arranging fresh or silk flowers? Come to the Books in Bloom Book Group at Goodnow Library to combine these two interests and share them with a group.

This new book discussion/flower arranging group meets on the 2nd Friday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Small Conference Room at the library with the goal of choosing a book to discuss each month and interpreting it with fresh or silk flower arrangements to be made by participants at home and brought to the meeting.  The flower arrangements should be symbolic of the characters or themes in the book.  No expertise is needed.

June's title is: Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy, a tale of joy, heartbreak and hope, about a motherless girl collectively raised by a close-knit Dublin community.  Books can be picked up at the library.
