Hunger and Homelessness Close to Home – Photo exhibits and presentation open to the community

The community is invited to attend a special event highlighting the plight of local homeless individuals on Friday, September 21 at the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury.  Two moving and highly acclaimed photo exhibits will be featured, “Homelessness From Our Eyes” and “Faces, What People Don’t Know About Me”. The photo exhibits open at 7:00pm. The photographs capture the hardship and hope of homeless life on the streets. Some faces in the exhibit are involved with the Community Day Center in Waltham, an agency that assists homeless people in our area. The director of the Community Day Center, Marilyn Lee-Tom, Esq., is the guest speaker and will begin her presentation at 7:30pm. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend this community event.

Donations of non-perishable, fresh and frozen goods are requested for distribution to the Sudbury Community Food Pantry, Parmenter Food Pantry, and the Community Day Center.

The Presbyterian Church in Sudbury is located at 330 Concord Road, beside Town Hall and the Grange in Sudbury Center, near the intersection of Route 27. Parking is in the lot behind the Town Hall and can be entered between the Town Hall and Grange or at Peter Noyes School. The entrance to the church is off the parking lot. The building is handicapped accessible. If you have questions, please contact the church office at 978-443-9151 or email pcsudbury@pcsudbury.org.
